Priests House, Skipton, North Yorkshire – Wedding Photography and Film

laughing faces

I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Rebecca & William’s Wedding Photographs at their celebration at The Priest’s House, Skipton near to Bolton Abbey in North Yorkshire; then also onto their evening celebrations at Clay House in Halifax, West Yorkshire a couple of days later.

These two are such a lovely couple, and it was such a fantastic day, enjoyed by everybody there – myself definitely included! Don’t forget to have a look at their Wedding Film too – it’s definitely feel-good!

A Unique Venue Nestled in the Yorkshire Dales

The Priest’s House is an exclusively intimate Grade 1 listed building, steeped in historical charm and blessed with a lot of its original features. The dark oak beamed ceilings give a impressive feel, and the superb views of the Yorkshire Dales make it feel dramatic and unique.

Bridal Party Getting Ready at the Old Barn near Bolton Abbey

I turned up in my car on a very windy day to the absolutely breathtaking little village, where the Old Barn was nestled. The bridesmaids, and Rebecca’s mum were already upstairs getting ready, and I slotted myself into the surroundings to capture the palpable excitement for the upcoming nuptials. The atmosphere was relaxed, but emotional, and we all shed a tear when the bride read her letters from her husband to be, and then again from her sister. The beams, and quaint, quirky bedrooms gave a charmingly cottage-like feel – which was incredibly welcoming and warm.

A Romantic, Intimate Ceremony in the Exclusive Priest’s House Venue

As I arrived at the Old Chapel at the Priests House, William was already there with a few of their guests, chatting excitedly about the day to come, and I snapped away at their laughs and hugs. The room was magnificent, with tall walls and gorgeous big windows – letting in loads of light, which will make any photographer and their lenses happy!

Charming Reception Nestled in the Shadow of Barden Tower

The reception was outside under blue skies, and we were visited by countless gorgeous butterflies – which added to the romanticism of the day. The impressive ruins of Barden Tower was just beside where everyone was enjoying their champagne and chatter about the day, and I pinched the newlyweds for a lovely relaxed couple shoot, and brought them back to confetti and laughter. The enjoyed a gorgeous banquet in the charming upstairs room, with a lovely real log fire to add to the ambience.

Evening Reception at the Beautiful Clay House, Halifax

Rebecca & William had their evening reception a couple of days later at Clay House Halifax, where a lot more of their family and friends could attend. They danced, ate pie and peas, and had an absolutely glorious time.

Many congratulations to this incredible family! Now turn up the sound, and have a look at their video, and don’t forget to have a quick scroll through some of my favourite photos from their big day!
