I always love the chance to capture Saltaire Wedding Photography, in Yorkshire, near to home. I used to work close by as a designer where I first started improving my skills using a DSLR camera, so it was such a pleasure to return here for Rebecca & Morteza’s Wedding at Victoria Hall in Saltaire.
A Lovely Home in Saltaire
Before their Wedding, I met Becky & Mort at their lovely home in Saltaire, West Yorkshire – and we chatted about their day, at that point it was clear they were a relaxed, fun, loving couple, with a great sense of humour, generous personality and a lovely dog – Max! It was their home that I came to for Bridal Preparations in the morning, and it was a hive of activity, with bridesmaids and family busily getting ready around the house for the upcoming nuptials later that day – and to my great pleasure, Max the dog was relaxed there taking it all in his stride.
Walk through the Village of Saltaire
Saltaire was built in 1851 by Sir Titus Salt, and remains today as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This Victorian model village is such a unique and picturesque place. Victoria Hall is a stunning venue, with pretty front gardens and a warm & friendly team. Becky & her bridal party walked through the little village of Saltaire to get to this fabulous Grade 2 listed building, with their lovely bouquets at the ready.
A Multicultural Ceremony
Becky & Morteza combined heritage from both of their cultures including readings from various friends and family, an acoustic rendition of a song, and a honey tasting ceremony. It was a light-hearted ceremony, which was still filled with bags of emotion and guests looked on with teary eyes. It was a dream to capture such a vibrant and unique wedding.
Party Bus Time!
After the ceremony and a few photographs outside Victoria Hall, we all jumped on a bus which took us to the evening venue, for cake, dancing and drinks. There was so much laughter, drinking and singing on the bus, and I had such a laugh enjoying this alongside the wedding guests. The newlyweds first dance was a choreographed masterpiece and had everyone transfixed.
I wish all the best to this amazing couple – have a scroll through some of their images below!
