Sunshine, laughter, love and BUCKETS of happiness. That’s how I would describe Natalie and Carl’s amazing Ribble Valley wedding. They chose one my favourite wedding venues, Bashall Barn in Clitheroe. It really is such a gorgeous part of the world because of all the unparalleled countryside views. We were flooded with gorgeous light and blue skies all day – looking back at the photos gives me such a lovely warm feeling! I know Natalie from Secondary School, so it was again, such a pleasure to see lots of familiar faces enjoying their day too.
Morning Preparation
I pulled up outside the lovely little countryside pub, The Higher Buck to go and visit Natalie and her bridesmaids and family. Carl and the lads were drinking champagne just round the corner at the The Waddington Arms. Meanwhile back at Bridal prep, lovely window light was illuminating the ladies. There were gifts an giggles whilst make up was applied and hair was done. Dresses were hung around the room and I loved to capture this quirky hotel room. They drank champagne and toasted to the upcoming nuptials, all so very exciting! Natalie had help from the mother of the bride and bridesmaids whilst she put on her stunning wedding dress. Her shoes and jewellery finished the look and she really did look stunning, and set off on the way to marry her new husband.
Ceremony Surrounded by Breathtaking Views
Bashall Barn really is unrivaled for it’s breathtaking views. It is the perfect, unique setting for capturing a wedding at! So much gorgeous light and happy faces! Natalie walked in, accompanied by her father, to many teary eyes. The groom-to-be looked on with a beaming smile. The vows and ring exchange were lovely and fitting to the day. Then after a kiss and lots of cheers and clapping, we headed outside for an incredible confetti shot! One of my favourites to capture. The blue skies, countless happy faces and bountiful confetti was a recipe for success. There were plenty of reception drinks in this beautifully nestled wedding venue. Myself and the newlyweds went on a quick walk to grab some couple portraits, and the group photos were done under the shelter of Bashall Barns gorgeous wooden terrace, which overlooks the fastastic Ribble Valley views.
Speeches, Dancing and Party Time!
The Speeches were all heart-felt, funny and emotional too. Such a pleasure to listen to and brought about so many happy reactions, and definitely brought a few tears to the eyes of most of the audience also! Then after a quick game of heads or tails, the guests mingled and waited for the live music. Before their lovely band could start, they cut the cake. The First Dance was so sweet and the newlyweds were soon joined on the dance floor by friends and family celebrating with them.
Genuinely absolutely adored photographing at this fairly local wedding to me, and wish Natalie & Carl lifelong happiness together.
That’s enough from me anyway, here’s their Wedding Film – and also make sure you have a browse through a few of my favourite photos too.
