Unique Alternative Colourful Outdoor Tipi Lincoln Wedding Photography

A wedding should be a reflection of a couple’s personality – and Nicky & Liam’s REALLY was! It was colour, fun and brilliant quirkiness from the get go. It was alternative, tattoos, Tipis, Disney, fun, family and not forgetting their Dalmatian Piper! Held in the grounds of The Tipi Tribe put on a fabulous event. There were so many fun, gorgeous and unique details throughout the day.

Getting Ready at the Family Home

I met Nicky and her girl-gang on the morning of the wedding at their family home. Piper the Dalmatian instantly grabbed my attention as soon as I entered! What a sweetheart. I’m a sucker for any animal, but give me a big daft dog ANY DAY. The kids enjoyed snacks whilst the bride-to-be got ready with her bridesmaids. There were a few gifts handed out, including a lovely present for each of her parents. I loved seeing all the different animals dotted around the house – even an axolotl!! Nicky was wearing a gorgeous wedding dress from J Dezire Bridal Boutique.

Gorgeous Church Ceremony to start the Celebrations

We headed to the Church of St Germain for the ceremony. A lovely little village church – even though he stuck me right at the back of the room!! A really lovely service with a few comedic interruptions from their dog Piper! The couple left to a gorgeous confetti tunnel outside. Family and friends laughed and cheered before we captured a few family photos. Portraits in the church ground were a definitely must have too!

Tipi Tribe at Aubourn Hall in Lincoln

After the nuptials, the newlyweds made their way to the reception venue. Wow. A huge gorgeous tipi by Tipi Tribe, surrounded by so much for their guests to do! There was a fire, lawn games and a bouncy castle. And those views! Aubourn Hall itself is set within some amazing picturesque gardens, which we definitely made the most of for their couple portraits. Nicky and Liam had such genuine chemistry that their images really were on FIRE! The evening light and spectacular surroundings definitely helped! Guests and family really did enjoy themselves with all the activities laid out for them. Such a fun wedding to be a part of!

Fish and Chips, Sunsets, Smoke Flares & Speeches

The Bride and Groom hired a chippy van to provide gorgeous fish and chips to all their guests. I absolutely loved their laid back approach and the food was delicious. Desert was an incredible cake made by This Birdie Bakes. SUCH a cool cake, with two of my favourites as cake toppers. Disney characters Wall-E and EVE sat next to the cake looking so cute. After food, we made the most of the incredible sunset by capturing some images. We used smoke flares to create a masterpiece! The purple smoke framed the couple beautifully, and then the golden hour light backlit the couple to make the perfect finish.

This wedding was fun, personalised and unique from the start; which weddings should be! I wish this couple and their family all the best for the future, and thank you Nicky and Liam for inviting me to be a part of your day.
