Michael & Rachael’s Stylish Wedding at Ashdown Park Hotel

Michael & Rachael’s wedding at Ashdown Park Hotel, Sussex was effortlessly chic and super relaxed – the loveliest of couples and the most gorgeous of days! With the venue’s beautiful woodlands, a secret garden, and stunning lake as the backdrop, we were spoilt for choice for backdrops and their chic outfits made the day look so effortlessly stylish. All of my team were made to feel welcome and we had such a great time with the couple and their guests – definitely not forgetting their cute dog Frankie!

Getting Ready

Rachael & her bridesmaids and best man started their preparations in the Bridal suite whilst Michael & his groomsmen readied themselves in another part of the gorgeous venue. Everyone enjoyed a relaxed start to the day, taking in the excitement in the elegant surroundings of Ashdown Park Hotel. Bride Prep was so relaxed and full of laughs. Rachael’s dress was so stunning and elegant, and the bridesmaids looked so chic in their silky dresses and Archie’s gorgeous suit. The groomsmen looked effortlessly stylish in their tuxes – I never get tired of a black tie aesthetic!

Ceremony & Celebrations

Guests gathered for the civil ceremony, which featured lovely personal touches, including heartfelt readings from Michael & Rachael’s parents. After exchanging their vows and rings, the newlyweds headed back down the aisle through a joyful confetti tunnel—a perfect moment to end such a lovely ceremony.

Private Vows & Photos

As guests enjoyed drinks and canapés, Michael & Rachael slipped away into the venue’s beautiful woodland area to share their private vows—a thoughtful, intimate touch to their day. We took advantage of the secret garden and stunning lakeside backdrop of the Sussex countryside for relaxed photos. Their cute dog Frankie joined briefly, bringing lots of playful energy and fun.

Dinner & Speeches

The wedding breakfast had a warm, buzzing atmosphere, followed by speeches from the best man, man of honour, Hamid (father of the bride), and Michael himself. The speeches struck just the right balance of humour, warmth, and genuine emotion—everyone loved them!

Evening Festivities

The evening kicked off with the cutting of their gorgeous cake, followed by a romantic first dance. Michael & Rachael chose Van Morrison’s “Someone Like You,” which soon transitioned into “You To Me Are Everything” by The Real Thing, quickly bringing guests onto the dance floor. The brilliant live music provided by East House Rhythm kept everyone dancing throughout the night.

A Brilliant Day

Michael & Rachael’s wedding truly had it all—stylish details, a relaxed atmosphere, and genuinely wonderful people. It was such a joy for me and my team to capture their celebrations, and we left feeling like we’d known them forever. Days like these remind me exactly why I love my job!
