Skipbridge Country Farm Weddings Yorkshire Photography

Anyone who is looking for a quirky venue in Yorkshire, complete with all sorts of animals, gorgeous countryside and a Teepee?! Skipbridge Country Weddings is definitely the place for them to tie the knot. Situated in the heart of North Yorkshire, this family-run venue is a go to for couples searching a unique, quirky venue to say their vows. Having grown up in Yorkshire, I love to photograph weddings here, as I’m not far from Harrogate and York. York especially is such a beautiful historic town and each time I come I see something new.

Bridal Preparations in Cosy Holiday Cottages

Nestled in a courtyard not far from the farm, the bride and her bridesmaids were snug inside a holiday cottage getting ready. Becca Hunton was busy with the bridesmaids and bridal hair and makeup whilst the girls chatted away. Leanne’s beautiful wedding dress from Ava Rose Hamilton was hung from a wooden beam, next to the traditional brick fireplace. These lovely little cottages were full of charm and character – such a lovely place to get ready! We all sat in the conservatory drinking coffee and bubbly and listening to music. Before Leanne and the girls went to put on their dresses and her parents arrived – of course with their gorgeous dog Bracken too.

Ceremony under the Willow Tree

Michael waited under the Willow Tree for his bride-to-be, as their family and friends assembled in the seating area outside and Steven Heath played lovely music on the acoustic guitar. Surrounded by picturesque countryside, Leanne appeared in the distance, walked down the aisle by her father. The Harrogate Registrars conducted the intimate ceremony in the Willow Bower and really captured them as a couple. After they had exchanged vows and given each other rings, they exited to plumes of confetti thrown by their loved ones.

What wedding isn’t made better by Donuts, Cocktails, Llamas and Ice Cream!

Papakata provided an epic Teepee and Yorkshire dales flower company brought the stunning floral arrangements. So this wedding was fantastic from start to finish, but the fact there was SO many animals there, really was the icing on the cake. My absolute favourites are the Llamas and alpacas, but there was donkeys, ponies, pigs, goats and a lovely cat too! Guests were treated to a donut wall, that was scoffed within minutes! They had an ice cream cart and cocktails to enjoy too. It was a picture perfect day. I loved snapping away at this happy, easy-going bunch enjoying their relaxed afternoon in Yorkshire. The newlywed couple and I went off to get some photos by the Hobbit Hole and few other places. The llamas put on a show and had us all in absolute stitches! I loved the rustic feel of the whole place and me and my camera had so much fun!

Food, Speeches, Bouncy Castle and Dancing Around a Firepit

The Bride and Groom enjoyed the surroundings with their friends, family and of course their amazing dog Bracken – who is just adorable. The evening was even more of a dream for the kids – and a lot of the adults! – when a white bouncy castle turned up for them to play on. We got some great images of everyone enjoying it. After food and speeches, we headed to the fire pit for more music from Steven Heath and their first dance. It really was an unforgettable day and I wish them all the happiness in the world!
