Amy & Steve’s Wedding at Thicket Priory
Amy & Steve’s wedding at Thicket Priory was stylish, vibrant, and filled with laughter from start to finish. From the colourful details and gorgeous decor to the beautiful golden-hour and Amy’s stunning dress, this spring celebration was effortlessly chic and totally unforgettable.
Getting Ready in Style
The morning kicked off at Thicket Priory with Amy and her bridesmaids getting ready, with hair by Studio Sister and makeup by Amber Kiah. Amy’s dress, designed by Ukrainian designer Esty Style and sourced from The White Yard Bridal Boutique, hung ready for the day ahead. Meanwhile, Steve prepared alongside his groomsmen, dressed in bespoke suits by Owen Scott, with fabric uniquely dyed by DP Dyers. Both groups getting ready onsite created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Once Amy’s hair and makeup were done and she was wearing her beautiful dress, Amy’s Dad saw her for the first time, which brought a tear to everyone’s eye!
A Ceremony & Drinks Reception
Guests gathered for a stylish celebrant-led ceremony, beautifully personalised and set in the stunning surroundings of Thicket Priory’s grounds. The atmosphere was warm and joyful as Amy & Steve exchanged vows, followed by vibrant confetti celebrations on the lawn. Guests then enjoyed cocktails and canapés outside, mingling and soaking up the spring sunshine. Shortly after, the couple completed their legal ceremony in the elegant Jefferson Room before moving into the wedding breakfast.
Celebrating in Style
The wedding breakfast was held in Thicket Priory’s beautifully styled dining space, with florals by Dreamboats & Carousels adding to the atmosphere. Speeches were given before the meal by Amy’s father, the best men, and Steve himself—each speech striking the perfect balance between heartfelt, humorous, and personal.
The celebrations continued with a stylish cake cutting and guests enjoyed a dessert table before the evening celebrations began.
Dancing the Night Away
The evening began with Amy & Steve’s first dance, kicking off an evening filled with music by the talented Glen Roughead and energetic band Warning Tones. With lively entertainment and delicious evening food from Purple Chilli Events Catering, guests enjoyed an atmosphere that lasted late into the night.
Interactive entertainment included live painting by Live Event Artist and stylish props from Event Prop Hire, adding extra fun and memorable experiences.
