Left Bank Leeds Yorkshire Wedding Photography

perspective at the ruins

Left Bank is an incredible space in Leeds. I was so lucky to go there this Summer for this wedding in my home county of Yorkshire. The Grade II listed former church is such a unique venue and Katie & Patrick chose it for this reason! Such an insanely beautiful setting to bring together the newlywed’s friends and family from around the globe. Such a great setting for people who like to do things differently!

Getting Ready in Leeds

As I entered, the bride to be was sat next to a some lovely window light. I snapped away at Katie getting her make up done. She chatted to her bridesmaids and we all munched away on pre-wedding snacks. Then Katie put on her gorgeous dress from Elite Bridal Outlet before we set off to the ceremony location, not too far away.

Unique, Stunning Venue with Beautiful High Ceilings

Left Bank in Leeds truly is a unique place, and it’s high ceilings and masses of windows create an incredible dynamic. But the light flowing in and around the room really is a spectacle. This venue definitely does have the wow factor! The Groom to be was already there waiting, spending time with his guests and groomsmen. As it is not a licensed wedding venue, they had the pleasure of one of their friends conducting the ceremony for them. What a great personal touch to make your vows more special and personal. The incredibly long aisle made for a brilliant entrance, and the ceremony was such a pleasure to be a part of.

Trip to Kirkstall Abbey with the Newlyweds

Shortly after they had a celebratory glass of bubbly and a canape or two, we went to Kirkstall Abbey for their Couple Photo Shoot. Again, such incredible grandeur. The perfect place for a unique shoot for a newly married couple. However, we were also lucky to have gorgeous weather until the last 5 minutes when we had to make a dash for the car! We made it back just in time for the speeches.

Speeches, Dancing and Live Music

The champagne toasts were all brilliant, met by plenty of emotion – both tears and laughter. The speeches were followed by some great food by Fizz and Fire. We were all then accompanied by some brilliant live music. Their first dance was so special, surrounded by their loved ones. This wedding was something of a definite aesthetic pleasure to capture on camera, and was filled with such lovely, warm people.

Please do take 5 minutes to look through some of my favourite photos of theirs but don’t forget to watch their Wedding Film too!
