The Out Barn Clitheroe Wedding Photography – Rachel & Martyn

Every time I go to the ancient market town of Clitheroe I love it a little bit more. I have visited the gorgeous Bashall Barn a couple of times now, and it is up there as an all time favourite wedding venue of mine. This time when I returned to The Ribble Valley, I definitely was not disappointed. Rachel & Martyn clearly made great choice in picking their Wedding Venue, as The Out Barn is a unique blend of old and traditional with new, modern and renovated. The converted barn boasts a gorgeous elliptical function room, spectacular views over towards Pendle Hill. This place really has got to be seen to be appreciated in all it’s glory!

Getting Ready at the Farmhouse

I met Rachel and her bridal party at the Farmhouse – which had an incredibly ornate garden at the front – just a couple of minutes away from the ceremony venue. The building was beautiful, with sunlight pouring in its many windows. Bubbly was poured, strawberries popped on top of the flutes and there was a definite air of excited anticipation as the family discussed the – the two little page boys were unbelievably cute! Their outfits with braces were a total winner.

Handfasting Ceremony

Rachel’s Dad walked her down the aisle – they both beamed with excitement and pride as she walked towards her soon-to-be husband Martyn. The ceremony was an intimate, personal and emotional celebration of the newlywed’s life together – which included close family and friends each presenting a ribbon to the couple as part of the hand-fasting ceremony. It really was personal and moving, with a couple of laughs and a couple of tears.

Confetti, Sunshine & a Blustery Day!

We all headed outside after the nuptials for an epic confetti shot. Rachel & Martyn really wanted a great one, so we had to make it count! We battled against the wind and managed to get some brilliant shots, then went for a lovely walk in the countryside to give the new couple a chance to have some time just the two of them, and so we could get some gorgeous photos!

Speeches, Cake and Party Time!

The Speeches were all brilliant, and there were plenty of laughs – and again, a few emotional moments too. The friends and family all seemed to have a great time and enjoyed them too. After everyone was well and truly fed and watered, the evening commenced. The first dance was lovely, and then the dancing carried on late into the night!
